Job Description:

We have a new opportunity for a high calibre individual who has a passion for cutting edge engineering. We have a very diverse client base and project work ranges from traditional automotive crashworthiness through to advanced armour system research and development. We have a well established reputation for growing superior quality engineers so if you are really driven and excited by complex engineering problems, you will really enjoy working at Simpact.

CAE Engineer in the field of product development using experimental testing and numerical methods. Your role will include;

  • working alongside other junior and senior CAE analysts on engineering projects.
  • Appling engineering skills/experience to produce design recommendations.
  • Assisting with our R&D focussed activities including liaison with relevant customers and academic partners.

Your work will include;

  • Identification and interpretation of mechanical load requirements of a system, component or part.
  • Interpretation of design definitions into analysis models and FEA model build.
  • Technical CAD design.
  • Material mechanical property characterisation from lab experiments such as quasi-static and dynamic testing.
  • Operation of our other CAE hardware such as high-speed video and 3D-laser scanning equipment.
  • Building and testing of prototypes.

For the above, you will follow the processes as laid down in the Simpact Quality System.
