We are delighted to announce our new Research & Development project CARPE-DIEM.

Part funded by Innovate UK, the £16M Launchpad programme supports clusters of SMEs and the most innovative businesses to progress their ideas towards commercialisation, contributing to local economic growth.

Each Launchpad has been developed in collaboration with local leadership to strengthen innovation in targeted clusters across the UK and our project was one of 13 projects developing technologies for the creative and immersive applications in industry.

Simpact are on a mission to change the current way products are designed and developed. With the support from WMG at the University of Warwick the project will, in the early stages of the product definition phase, enable effective testing and optimisation in the design development phase by the innovative application creative and immersive technologies. The innovation will focus on the application and integration of existing game engine technologies within the start of the CAE process.

Simpact Managing Director, Dirk Landheer said “Imagine having a crystal ball to identify critical loadcases for a new product offering. This is effectively what we will be offering our clients at the end of the project and some of them are lucky enough to be partnering us on this phase of the project”
