WMG is an academic department of the University of Warwick and one of the world’s leading research groups. More than academics, WMG interfaces with industry. Through many years of collaborative R&D, Simpact have access to their state-of-the-art facilities and expertise. Test facilities include mechanical testing machines for materials characterisation and evaluation.

University of Leeds

Globally renowned for their teaching and research, the School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the leading mechanical engineering schools in the UK. Test facilities include a gravity drop tower for the impact testing of small components to large assemblies and we have carried out research relating to the high strain rate testing of materials for characterisation of materials in FE codes such as RADIOSS and LS-DYNA3D.

Our alliance with the Department of Automotive Engineering and Design enables Simpact to cherry pick first class MSc students with highly relevant experience in automotive engineering and modern CAE methods.
