We believe in developing mutually beneficial long term relationships with like minded organisations. Our collaboration with industry and academia gives us access to state-of-the-art technology and cutting edge research.
Simpact is proud to work with the following Universities and professional bodies:
Simpact are members of Composites UK who are the trade association for the UK composites industry. Membership gives us a better visibility of the UK composites industry and creates opportunities to collaborate with other members.Visit Site
The National Composites Centre are a High Value Manufacturing Catapult and help the UK composites industry to be more competitive. They act as our scale up partner for our innovative and early stage composites processing technology and partner us on a number of R&D activities.Visit Site
Simpact are fully integrated on the Rescale HPC platform. This provides us with the option for short bursts of high core count LS-DYNA3D simulations that are usually driven by our automotive customer requirements and the running of very large vehicle models (~10M elements). Sometimes, this requires hundreds of cores of LS-DYNA3D for an adequate CPU compute time.Visit Site
WMG is an academic department of the University of Warwick and one of the world’s leading research groups. More than academics, WMG interfaces with industry. Through many years of collaborative R&D, Simpact have access to their state-of-the-art facilities and expertise. Test facilities include mechanical testing machines for materials characterisation and evaluation.Visit Site
Globally renowned for their teaching and research, the School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the leading mechanical engineering schools in the UK. Test facilities include a gravity drop tower for the impact testing of small components to large assemblies and we have carried out research relating to the high strain rate testing of materials for characterisation of materials in FE codes such as RADIOSS and LS-DYNA3D.Visit Site
Coventry University is well known for being an ambitious and innovative University. Their new research strategy, ‘Excellence with Impact’, will transform the way they research by applying fresh and original approaches. Our alliance with the Department of Automotive Engineering and Design enables Simpact to cherry pick first class MSc students with highly relevant experience in automotive engineering and modern CAE methods.Visit Site
